KLCC Exploration

Standard

Today took all my kids and we really explored to the max…

Took the train from PWTC station and asked questions and was just willing to get lost and try to find our way to KLCC which is where the twin towers are (the twin towers are the oldest tallest twin towers in the world).

So here is how it went…

Got to the train station and figured out how to buy the token and where to even go from that station.

We had to take 2 different trains and had to change lines.

The whole trip cost is $5 for all 5 of us going and returning home…no traffic…am all about the train…great savings for a large family.

Some pictures of our tour around KLCC…

We could not do the twin towers tour…because it was packed so that will be for another beautiful day.

Revive your cell phone battery at home

Standard

Ok who said women can’t handle a little wires here and there….so today my oldest daughter lost her cell phone at the KLCC park…so mad about it…but I try to stay calm because I said at the end of the day it’s only a cell phone and she is still a kid.
So after 1 hour when we relize the phone was lost we went back to the park since we where only walking distance away. And when we got there the phone was gone…but this other lady was there with her kids and she said “oh I saw a lady in red top with 3 kids pick the phone but she thought it was for them” so she helped me walk around trying to find the lady but nope…it’s gone. I called the number and it keeps saying busy.

So now I just give up and we return home. So I had this old techno phone that they have but the battery stopped working and since have been travelling around asia am not able to find a bttery to purchase.

So I decided to try something new…I hooked up the battery direct to the electricity to jump start the battery…That’s the picture you see below and 25min later my battery is charged…so I put it in the phone praying that it works so that I can give it to my baby girl…and it worked…oh yes it did…at least until I can get a battery for that phone. It’s one and charging now.

So don’t throw away old batteries you can revive them…

Pay for toilet roll before using the bathroom

Standard

Today I just got a new insight on using bathrooms around here in the phillippines…

So I went into the bathroom all ready to do my thing…then I realized there was not toilet paper so I decided to walk out and check by the door since in some places in Bnagkok the toilet paper was outside so you tear some before going into the bathroom.

But to my surprise there was none…but there was a notice saying please purchase a toilet paper at the vending machine. …oh my Goodness…I could not believe it. At one point I was super furious about it…then I I came to my awareness that it’s America that has spoilt me…since in Ghana some public toilet you take your own paper or you buy and you even pay to use the toilet when you have your own paper. So I must not forget my roots I guess….lol!!!

Well I did pay the php 5 which is like 10 cents and wala I had my toilet paper and everyone was happy…lol!!

Travelling can really bring you to some form of gratitude for your country or other counties.

Dental Day for the Manns

Standard

What a day filled with kids asking lots of questions about cavities and plaques…

We spent hours at the dentist office today. Of course when we enter the whole reception can feel our energy…super fun family right….

Our son had hus first dental checkup and I actually thought it will be a tough one for us…until I saw him run into the consult room and jumped on to the chair asking questions and finding out why he needs to brush his teeth 3 times a day and not just 2 times a day….LOL!!!

Over all we had a great dental checkup. Until the next 6months we are all set for dental stuff.

She was so funny…calling for her mama….

He surly had fun in that chair…feeling like he is now a big guy…

PADI Open Water Scuba Diving Certified

Standard

Yes we made it and passed with flying colors…lol…

Here are the newest PADI Open Water Scuba Divers on the block…such a fulfilling sport to be able to get this experience with our young kids as a family…

Open water dive is really something I wish everyone can experience being able to go under water and see all the marine life down there is amazing.

Our trip started from Manila when we board the 2 hour bus ride to Batangas to meet our instructor Wilson who left ahead of time.

It was a nice smooth no stress bus ride.

We arrived at the batangas bus terminal..then got into a Jeepney that took about 1 hour to fill up…the Jeepney took us to Mabini…when we got off we took a try cycle which dropped at off at our dive resort. The anilaio beach club.

We had to get suit up right away and start our shore dive…my first time in open water that deep. I think it’s the first for our whole family going 40 feet deep…we had our pool lessons at a 15 feet deep water so it’s very different…this one had salt water and it’s an uncomfortable environment…but with all our practice we new this was what we practiced for so ready or not here we come.

Wilson and his buddy Jim helped us get suited up and we started our  last day of dive test until we can get our certification.

It all went well.

The next day was our fun dive day…super exciting since we have to now ride the boat to the payalan island at a dive spot and just dive our way….

We made 2 dives there and spent about 4 hours just exploring the waters and just having fun. Such an amazing experience.

Seeing the corals and fish and all the stuff in the marine world.

Our next dive place will probably be in Malaysia since now we are PADI Open Water Scuba Certified Divers….yeyyyyy….
