Grocery Box to Superman (boy)

Standard

Kids are really such great inventors ..today  after returning from the grocery store with an empty box that my items was put in…my 6yr old  boy Mj begged me if he could keep the box,  that he wants to build a house with it.

I was hesitant for a while thinking to myself he is just going to cut it up and make a big mess which I will end up cleaning.
But he quickly used his charm on me…and I gave in.

30min later….

While cooking in the kitchen he ran in there and asked me to see what he actually did with the box that he changed his mind and created a super hero.

It was so worth it, letting him create with that empty box.

image

So that’s his sister aasha who helped him put it all together…mj is in the box about to pop out and show me what he can do…

image

And he is out….about to take the trash out and save the day…

image

You can see the cape on the back of the box….lol!!!

He really had a great time doing that.

Earlier on I had the chance to take a picture with batman character while walking to the grocery store. So it’s all about super hero day in my house.

I was with IMAHKUS going to the grocery store so she got to take  pose too….

Who said we can not have it all while travelling….superhero day went very well….

Our funny Life

Standard

So today while walking home…Marcus decides that he want to teach IMAHKUS our 10yr old how to help a blind man.

So he found a long stick and he put on his glasses and started walking literally like a blind person  and IMAHKUS must help him get home safely.

One thing we observe was that people actually gave way for him and as funny as it looked for me and the other kids. Marcus was serious about it and he says our kids are world travellers and they need to know how to help anyone in any situation.

So here is a picture to show the funny scene…

Training went well.

Funny scene but looks so real…

Makati street food

Standard

It’s always a great day to be eating on the streets. And in Asia street foods is definitely an exploration.

Today we had some great experience as we got to taste one phillippines foods called Adobo… ( which taste like chicken stew to me) and you eat it with rice. They usually make it with pork but they also have chicken so that’s what we tried.

Here are pictures of us enjoying the street food truck in makati….

PADI Open water scuba family

Standard

So our family absolutely love being on Land….yeap but with our travels we think we will also like to checkout the ocean world.

Our family started our PADI Open Water Scuba Diving Certification. And so far it’s really going well. Today we got to do the pool diving. We learned how to set up our gear and tank and went under water for a long time. The pool was 15 feet deep.

Tomorrow we will go and complete the classroom work.

Then Thursday back at the pool… then the next day we will go to Batanga dive beach.

So after our course we will be allowed to dive around the world up to 60 feet deep and we will get to see what the underworld spices look like.

Star City Day in Phillippines

Standard

So here is the deal…my friend Jenneth who invited us to mass this morning mentioned to me that there is a theme park next to the place so it will be great to spend the whole day in that area.

She told me that is I purchase the ticket online will save 50% off each ticket. And the place to do that online is http://www.metrodeal.com and oh yes I saved my 50% with a smile on my face.

So after lunch kids and I spent the whole day there. They had rides for outside and also inside rides incase of the rain you can still enjoy the day.

While there the kids made more life long friends. Spent the rest of the day there with them.

The park opens from 2pm till 11pm  (with all rides still working in the evenings pretty awesome right?).

Over all we have had a very fun filled day.

First time Mass in phillippines

Standard

So if you read my past blog about making life long friends then you will be able to know what am about to blog.

We met a friend while walking through the mall.
She invited us to Aliw theatre to join her at what they call the feast.

So the kids and I decided to honor that invite. So we went and we so much enjoyed the session. It’s a Catholic service. But trust me it felt like we are at a gospel concert. The energy and vibe and music was just right.

The 2 hour session went by so fast we asked wlif it was already over. Lol!!!

With our travels we are learning to worship with anyone who invites us regardless of the label they have being Christian,  Hindu,  Muslim  ect. We respect every single path people choose to communicate with our Creator (our Creator of the universe and us all). Respect that what we give.

So we had such an awesome morning. After we went to have lunch together with Jenneth and Len. Fantastic people.

Some pictures of us below…
