Going to Cusco

Well…our time in Lima has ended and a new experience awaits in Cusco!!

Peru has been awesome. The people here were so kind and welcoming; We also met a family ,who I will miss a lot. I think Lima Peru (Miraflores) is definently one of my favorite countries so far and I really want to come back here one day.

I am looking forward to the life we will have in Cusco, the people we will meet ,and the new experiences we will have.

Most of all I am looking forward to the journey to Machu Picchu… I am so excited !!!

But I’m not really looking forward to the plane ride … Bye Peru!!! ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ‘‹

Aasha (My view on the day trip to Elephant and Giraffe Center)

Standard

The elephant orphanage was amazing we got to get up close and watch the Rangers feed the baby elephants milk from baby bottles while they told us how they became orphaned most of them fell down a well while they where still barely able to walk and others had their mothers killed by poachers.one of the elephant came out of the rope and started running around like crazy.

Everyone was so scared but it settled down after a bit of time. I found out that you can also adopt an elephant not necessarily take it home just pay $50 for a year to help fund that animals health and well-being. They also gave the animals their own ย names based on how or where they were orphaned.

The giraffe center was probably my favorite. They gave us little pellets ( but not a lot because the giraffesย were on a diet) then you would stand on a platform and the giraffes would walk right up, you hold your hand out and their long purple sticky tongue should grab it. It was kinda disgusting my mom was so scared she was shaking. But overall they where so gentle and pretty and their eyes where huge and shiny. Can you believe that our own dad put a pellet between his teeth and the giraffes took it,? is called the giraffe kiss ewww ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜›๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒฟ!!. There where also hogs at the feet of the giraffe ๐Ÿ—๐Ÿ—๐Ÿ— ย dung beetles rolling poop around yuck ๐Ÿœ๐Ÿœ๐Ÿœ๐ŸŒฐ.

I had so much fun today and I think that everyone who visits Kenya should definitelyย go to the elephant orphanage and the giraffe center. Type later everyone ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Chess Tournament Finally Over

Standard

I got 2 1/2 points at the just finished millionaire Juniors tournament which was held for 3 days in Nairobi Kenya. It was great and I got to meet new people, and also ย got their phone numbers. Some of the kids asked my coach if he could organize to ย play a friendly game. Which means I will be going to a lot more chess tournament in the future. Possibly while in Asia.

I had so much fun at the ย chess tournament. It ย is one thing that I really would like to do again. I was nervous at first but after the first day it was awesome!! ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

Aasha first day of chess tournament

Standard

hey everyone today was the first day of the chess tournament.

I was quite nervous but even though I did not win any of the three games we have got 2 more days and 4 more games.I learned so much from today than I think I would have if I had won. Thanks to our coach uncle Brian (we call him Uncle B.) he helped me learn from my mistakes. It was really chilly out there so just in case you go to a tournament in kenya during raining season remember to bring a lot of coats :)๐Ÿ˜ . Anyway so I got more confidence and patience in my games which I am positive will help a lot in tommorows section of the tournament. I got interviewed by citizen news (I think it was called) and will be on news tonight if you watch it please tell me how it could have been better.

Will be back on soon… and remember it is better to lose and learn something that can help you grow (kiazan) than to win and gain a trophy that will just sit on your desk.๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
