As I was taking a nice run on the streets of Chowkit Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. I saw some older men playing chess by the street. I stopped to watch a little since it seem very exciting with lots of people around there.
Then I asked the old man if I could play him.
If you know me you will know that’s not like me to ask strangers eve a simple question. But with our travels I have come to have some self confidence and just ask.
So the old man asked me to sit and we play…he is a chess master and he was self taught. After 43min of playing with him. He checkmate me…so I asked him where did I go wrong ? And he told me that he will tell me by setting the board up again. And he said I rushed to take his bishop and that is what made him win.
Over all I played well and I am glad I stopped to ask if I could play.
Here a is pictures of the roadside chess master.
Also would like to Thank my chess coach Uncle B for teaching me how to play a great game of chess. Life is like playing chess…
