So for our large family sometimes using the Tour agency is not to our benefit. So I did a little research to see how our family can go to the Grand Palace Temple and the reclining Buddha for the Fraction of price this tour agents are trying to charge us.
Well the tour agency will pick us up from our apartment and our total trip to Grand Palace and the reclining Buddha will be $400 for all 6 of us.
Now let me tell you what it cost us…..We took a meter taxi, got there and hired a tour guide by the gate, did the grand palace, did a 1 hour canal boat ride ( which is not part of the tour company program), did the reclining Buddha and took a taxi back to MBK mall…and all cost us $165…now tell me that’s not an awesome savings there…and all it took was a little internet research.
It was all worth it and now I think most of our tours will be self done…
some great pictures below

Just before our Tour

Hello there

funny story on this one…Monkey and the demon carrying the gold piece on their head. Money is laughing because he is in the middle and not stressing…demon looks mad because he is doing all the work…thats the story.

The demon who was bad at one point now is the protector of the Palace

OK now sure what this one is…

everyone had to take a pic…

I love this place…full of gold

another evil protector…now doing good

So this was at the reclining Buddha…the coin wish…you donate THB 20 and you take a bowl full of coins and you make a wish by dropping them into this pots…pretty awesome
