Finally scored A+ after 15yrs

So wondering what am talking about??? Well I an amazing mother and wife at least that is what my hubby and kids say…because I make great dishes for them.

But there is one thing I don’t know how to do well and I admit I really suck at this one…

That is shopping for my family. For the past 14yrs since my oldest was born my magnificent mother inlaw always makes the best choice for the kids. And am aso grateful God gave me a mother inlaw who knows how to dress up daughter in laws and grandkids…lol!!! Because if it’s left for me it will be a disaster.

Now am super duper when it comes to shopping for groceries…lol!!

But as of last night I think I made a head way on this matter…lol!!

I shopped for my husband…yeap…you read that right. From start to finish I shopped for him. And he loved them all…except for 1 that was too small…but not my fault Thai people are tiny. Lol!!

So here are some pictures to show my improvement. Now remember this is my first time shopping for hubby since we met 15yrs ago…so I had to start with casual wear. Lol!!

Having moments in our family

With our new journey into life there is one thing I am enjoying so much.

That is creating this moments where each of us is so present that it amazing how it feels.
As parents we live our life trying to create this bonds with our kids. And if this travels Marcus and I have surly created those bonds in many many times.

Bonding with my oldest around Thai cooking

Loved Thai food so much today I had another Thai cooking lesson.

Had it with my amazing friend Shira and what a way to bond with my 13 yr old who also loves to cook.

Ping Pong date night

Today hubby and I went a little more wild on our date night.

Why come to bangkok and not go to see the famous ping pong show….lol!!+

So we did…am not going to explain what it is but just Google ping pong show in bangkok.

We spent about 5min in there. Just to say we did not. Lol

After we actually had a wonderful night at the night market.

Then spend the rest of the late evenings at a road side bar…Bangkok people don’t sleep. LORD…lol!!

Finally got a Tatoo…

Well am sure most of my friends who read this header said “””Nooooo””” not mavis…you are so right.

I got a temporary tatoo…it felt real to me…lol!!

My new favourite Drink…

So today I got to taste a new drink that I would probably have never thought of it as a drink.

It’s called charcoal drink. Healthy drink by a company call RAW-honest. .. they had all kinds of Healthy drinks. But the charcoal one was my all time best.

I found this group by joining this page called Meet Up…it’s an app too
So everywhere around the world we travel too I can plug in my location and I will be able to find people who have the same interest as me and they meet up and just mingle.

So if you are travelling around the world just download the app and enjoy. Great app for travellers.

Still on the streets on Bangkok

So am still trying to figure out how Thai people could go to work and still have time to shop..?

There are malls…huge malls in every single stop of the sky train…

Today we found another mall called central which is in an area call chit lom…and within this area there are about 4 super huge malls.

We walked the streets today super cool and buzzy…

THAI cooking Lesson

Today was probably one of my memorable days in Bangkok…

Well a week before I was on the train with my kids. And Mj my 5 yr old who just loves to talk to everyone he sees. There was a lady seating next us and my son started showing her the map and just chatting with her.

So as a natural way of things I also started making conversations with her. The cut the story shorter than short. We ended up spending the whole day with her. A very lovely lady from Israel who is visiting Bangkok with her husband and they are here for 10days.

So after the day we decided to organise dinner so our husbands can meet.

So after all the meeting Shira my new life long friend from Israel and I decided to take the Thai cooking class.

Oh this lady was super cool. The teacher, she basically took us to the Market and we shopped and asked all our questions about thai food and spices.

I can now make Thai Papaya salad and also make another dish that Shira and I actually added a little twist to it and call it fish around the world. We also cooked shrimp in red curry paste. Yummy and really truly a fun filled day for the two of us.

It was not easy pounding this stuff…making fresh red curry paste. And we are told in the olden days in Bangkok a man choose his wife with this activity….how much noise she can make when pounding the paste with the stone morta….I probably will still be single based on that…because my arm was tired after a few pounds. LOL! !

Kidz get to be Adults in KIDZANIA

If you come to Bangkok with your young kids..make it a point to take them to Kidzania at Siam Paragon on the 5th floor..It’s so worth it.

It’s a city just for our young kids to be like adults….you know apply for a job, wait to be hired, work and get paid. take your cheque to the bank and cash and then decide to spend your earnings or save it for your next trip to Kidzania…

The place was so alive and looks like the streets of bangkok…The skies looks real and the work places was really made for the eyes to believe its real.

My kids light up and was jumping all over the place. Now if you go over the weekdays at 12:30pm you get a 30% discount so keep that in mind. Weekends are more expensive. Super cool place made just for kids.
